Give the gift of the “root, spirit and soul of Cornwall” this Christmas

We’re launching our Crowdfunder to support our 2026 plans for the St Just Ordinalia on Sunday 8th December, which we hope means that many of you will choose to gift a donation or put a donation in your Christmas list to support this Cornish cultural extravaganza returning to our community.

Our aim is to raise £7000 to provide vital match funding to support our next round of funding applications, which are set to be submitted in March 2025. That deadline gives us just 8 weeks to achieve this goal. As a small, grassroots project, every penny will make a massive difference and we would be hugely grateful for your support!

We’ll have a wide range of rewards on offer in return for pledges between £15 to £100, which we are currently in the process of finalising and should be able to reveal very soon.

We know how much this tradition means to so many of you. Much like the St Just Ordinalia itself, whether you’re religious or not, the festive season offers us all an opportunity to connect with those we care about and celebrate what makes these communities special.

This Christmas, we hope you might choose, however big or small, to give or ask for a meaningful, lasting gift which will ensure that our community can continue to come together to perform and share the stories which help us all understand who we are.

As Pol Hodge, Former Grand Bard of the Gorsedh Kernow, has said:

“the Ordinalia is quite simply the root, spirit and soul of Cornwall.”

We know we might be biased but for us, we can’t think of a better gift to give this year.
